Erika has been part of Milwaukee’s German community since she was born. Her first memories of the German community come from her membership of the Berliner Baren. She also grew up in Spielmannszug Milwaukee, first as part of the Prinzengarde then as a Kinderprinzessin in 2002. In 2006 she joined the Danube Cultural Society and began her dancing life. Erika ran for Miss German-American societies in 2012, and won the title in 2013.
Even though she grew up in Milwaukee’s German community, as Miss German-American Societies, she was exposed to even more clubs, groups and people. Erika joined the United Donauschwaben of Milwaukee so she could challenge herself and dance even more. Erika also began appearing on Robert Deglau’s Saturday afternoon German radio program, Continental Showcase, and later became co-host, and later host of her own show, Breakfast on the Run.
When she’s not busy with Milwaukee’s German community, Erika enjoys reading, watching movies, spending time with her friends and her amazing husband, Eugene. Their son Mitchell was born June 2022, and he loves to help his mama by co-hosting Breakfast on the Run. Erika works as a dental hygienist for a dental practice in Muskego.
